RAK from Gwen (ericschic65)

Hello! I wanted to share with you a REALLY random act of kindness from one of the Facebook squirrelly sisters! Gwen who is ericschic65 on YouTube makes and alters these molds of dress forms as well as makes pin cushions. She posted a picture of the dress form asking what she should name her and I said you should name her "It's Yours Tanya!" and the next thing I know I get a private message from Gwen saying it is mine! I received the package the other day and not only did she send me the dress form but a matching pin cushion with stick pins! It is all red and black...red is my favorite color and they are just beautiful.

I just want to say that the crafting community is such a wonderful community to be apart of! I have met some really great individuals over the last year! I have been inspired by so many in the community as well! Thank you again Gwen, you rock!

Halloween (not so) Mini Album Swap

Hi Guys - I posted earlier this month a Halloween mini album I received from Nancy (GoinCriCrazy) for a swap we were in hosted by Dawn-Marie (sunigrrl30). Below are pictures of the not so mini album I sent to Nancy. It was a ton of fun creating it for her.

I used a ton of distressing stains, paints, embossing powders, glimmer mist inks...you name it! See photo captions for types of medium used to alter die cuts and pages. Paper line is Echo Park Apothecary Emporium.

Crow die cuts altered with Black Martha Stewart Flock. TH Artful Dwelling dies embossed with TH embossing folder,  distress inked with gathered twigs, rip persimmon & seedless preserves then crackle painted with rock candy 

TH tree die cut altered with Th Black Soot and Walnut Stain Distress Embossing Powders

Letters deco podged. Used white tissue paper, stamped it & sprayed it with Glimmer Mist Pumpkin Spice (or is it Spice Pumpkin?) before using mod podge to adhere to letters. 

Covers created by gluing paper towels down, painted it with FolkArt Metallic Sequin Black paint,  Adirondack Sunset Orange paint dabber and crackle painted with rock candy

Got Technique Travelogue

Hello Everyone - sent off my Got Technique Travelogue today! The travelogue is part of a Sx4 swap hosted by JadedStudios on Facebook. We have 8 groups with 3 people in it, so my travelogue will go to two other people and I should see it back in two months. In the meantime I'll get theirs and will decorate pages as they wish depending on their theme.

My theme is vintage, grunge and they have to decorate the two pages using at least two techniques that they love or have learned recently. I can't wait to see what the girls in my group come up with and what they have in store for me in their travelogues!

Letter stamps are 7 Gypsy and stamp in the middle is Tattered Angels 

Painted stamped images with Green Patina, Blue Patina and Forever Violet Perfect Pearls. Used Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Stain on the edges and to "grunge" it up.

Wicked Halloween Mini

Hi Everyone - today I received  a Halloween mini created by Nancy, GoinCriCrazy, she is my partner in Dawn-Marie's, sunnigrrl30, Halloween Mini Swap. This mini is just AWESOME! I love the texture she created on the covers! And the girl skeleton?!?!? How cute is that? I wish you could reach into your screen and feel the cover!
